Allergies
An allergy is an overreaction of one’s
immune system where the body misidentify
an innocuous substance as harmful and
attack this substance by releasing
chemical mediators. Ocular symptoms of
this reaction include tearing, redness
and itching.
These conditions cannot be
cured. One can only treat the symptoms.
There are different types of
allergies. Seasonal and vernal kerato –
conjunctivitis are the most common types.
