Dr. SM (Mathabo) Mofokeng, FC Ophth(SA); MMed Ophth(Wits); MBChB (Pret).

Dr SM (Mathabo) Mofokeng undergraduate medical training at the University of Pretoria. My journey in Ophthalmology started at St John’s Eye Hospital / Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in 2011 as a medical officer. Qualified as an Ophthalmologist in 2016, thereafter worked as specialist at Charlote Maxeke Johannesburg Hospital doing Retina, Glaucoma and general ophthalmology. I was also part of the academic training/teaching program for students, medical officers & Registrars at Wits University. “My passion is restoring vision to the blind & teaching ophthalmology to others”
