Eye bank
An own retrieval unit is run in co-operation with the South African Eye Bank foundation.
A co-coordinator is available 24 hours:
- To do donor awareness and answer questions on organ and tissue donation;
- To identify and to follow-up on possible tissue donors; and
- Retrieval and procurement of eye tissue, cornea and sclera.
