Dr. Niel Cornelius, M.B.Ch.B, MMed(Ophth(Pret), FC Ophth (SA) .

Dr Niel Cornelius qualified at the University of Pretoria as a General Practitioner in 1994. His career in ophthalmology started in 2000, finishing his postgraduate training at the University of Pretoria under Professor Polla Roux in 2006, followed by a fellowship under Mr John Dart in Corneal and Anterior Segment Disease at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London(UK). He joined the Pretoria Eye Institute in 2007, focussing his attention on Cornea, Refractive & Anterior Segment surgery.

Dr Cornelius is in practice with fellow colleagues Drs Petrus Gous, Liezel vd Merwe, Charl Weitz & Cor van Zyl.
